Salem EV Free Church
The role of Worship Pastor/Director at Salem EV Free is a key role. You will lead an essential, high profile and highly influential ministry of this healthy multisite church. Your pastoral, leadership and musical gifting and expertise will be welcomed and supported by the pastoral team—as you envision and implement inspiring worship leadership and invest, develop and empower your musical and technical leaders and teams. By taking on the privilege of this role, you will have the opportunity for great impact in helping to shape the church’s worship culture and become a catalyst for authentic spiritual transformation in its people and beyond.
Salem EV Free Church has a 38-year legacy of faithful ministry in the metropolitan area of Fargo/Moorhead with a population of roughly 224,000 and almost 30,000 college students attending 3 major universities in the area. The Central campus in downtown Fargo is devoted to serving its long-time members and embracing both a growing vibrant ethnic diversity, as well as new young families drawn to the church as downtown Fargo undergoes growth and revitalization. Salem EV Free launched its second thriving multigenerational campus, Salem East, in 2011 in a growing suburban area of Moorhead.
Over the years, Salem has experienced an overall sense of peace and unity. They enjoy stability and integrity of leadership, solid biblical teaching, genuine spiritual vitality in their people, an incredibly high number of volunteers who are involved and invested, solid financial stewardship, and a strong children’s and youth emphasis with an increasing missional focus. Weekly attendance runs approximately 750 between the two locations. The church is not consumer driven; rather, it is service oriented where they believe in an “every-believer ministry” ministering to all ages. Salem EV Free is healthy and proactively positioned for an exciting future of growth and effective ministry.
An ideal fit for this Worship Pastor/Director position will be a strong, experienced and relational pastoral leader (both on and off stage) and solid musician who loves developing and empowering volunteer leaders and teams.
There are four primary hopes for the Worship Ministry as Salem looks to the future:
- Continue to develop and find clarity in how to breathe new life into worship gatherings, becoming an effective catalyst for increasing depth and expression of genuine devotion in worship
- The new Worship Pastor/Director will exemplify and lead other Worship Leaders to further develop spiritual leadership from the platform and help encourage people to marry their intellect with their whole person
- The quality of musical, technical and platform leadership skill sets will continue to increase while holding on to the value of volunteers as ministers
- That the weekend experience will be developed to creatively, skillfully and sensitively curate a powerful storyline that supports the biblical message and meaningfully connects with multiple generations—especially younger generations
It would also be very helpful if the candidate has the ability to develop technical and artistic production, technical infrastructure, training and leadership to provide production quality and consistency on both campuses.
