Student Ministries Creative Director
Appleton Alliance

Appleton, Wisconsin
Church Description *
Appleton Alliance Church was born of a small group of like-minded Christians in the Fox Valley who were influenced by the radio program, “The Chicago Gospel Tabernacle World Wide Christian Couriers”, featuring Rev. Paul Rader. These people wanted more of the solid Bible teaching and emphasis on missions found in Rev. Rader’s radio program.

Under the guidance of Rev. Rader’s ministry, they held their first gathering in February of 1932 at the YMCA, with 50 – 60 people in attendance.

In the summer of 2003, the church moved to its current campus. The 35 million dollar campus is outreach oriented, complete with an extensive sports ministry area, and the kids-ministry facility is second to none. They are currently working on a medical clinic to address needs of the community in this area. The church has experienced an incredible run the last decade, and is still in growth mode. It is truly a ministry leader in the Fox Cities area.
The church runs approximately 3,500 adults (plus children and students) spread over three Sunday morning services. The church utilizes a robust offering of classes, serving opportunities, and small groups for spiritual formation.

Position Description *
The Student Ministry is led by Paul Benhnke, and is part of the larger Family Ministry team led by Brian Episcopo. The ministry has its main event through the school year on Wednesday evening. It is called Greenhouse. Sunday mornings go a bit deeper for students and is called Uncharted.

The team is looking for a highly energetic, passionate worship leader who can build upon what has been started. “Our creative team is in a great building time right now. While it is doing well, it could easily lose its momentum.” says Daniel Dinkler, for Student Worship Leader. “We’ve put in a lot of work to make sure our teams are filled with qualified students who love Jesus. We’re focused on stoking the fire within our worship culture.”

Student gatherings typically run around 400. The new Student Creative Director will actually be part of the Worship Department, but will resource Student Ministries.
