New Covenant Bible Church
|Church Description *|
|The history of New Covenant Bible Church can best be summarized by their mission “to honor God as a family of growing disciples.” God’s faithfulness has been evident from their humble beginnings in the 1940s right up to the present. New Covenant is no different than any other church today—they deal with conflicts and preferences, all part of being a family of flawed human beings. As they like to say at New Covenant, “We are in transition, but we are still on mission.” They have a solid core of faithful, generous, servant leaders willing to courageously walk into this next season of ministry.
NCBC has an attractive, well-maintained facility on approximately 55 acres of land. The church is strategically and uniquely positioned to reach thousands of people in Cedar Rapids and its surrounding communities for Jesus. On any given Sunday at New Covenant, over 1200 people (including adults, youth, and children) are welcomed into the building. The worship and message are Bible-based, authentic, and applicable to daily living. New Covenant Bible Church is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the state’s second-largest city. Neighboring cities include Marion, Hiawatha, Robins, Fairfax, Ely, and Mount Vernon.

|New Covenant Bible Church is seeking a Senior Pastor to lead this multi-generational church into a unified season of discipleship and evangelism. NCBC began a transition in the spring of 2017 to refocus our attention on becoming a disciple-making church. We believe that disciple-making is an intentional process that includes establishing believers in the faith, equipping leaders, and evangelizing non-believers. We want to be a church that takes seriously the Great Commission.
Our next Senior Pastor at New Covenant Bible Church will have the opportunity to lead us in this life-changing venture of spiritual multiplication. NCBC is blessed with servant leaders, many of whom are volunteers who take their mission seriously. As they work together towards this shared mission, the leadership of NCBC is optimistic about the future. The Senior Pastor will give himself to the ministry of the Word and prayer, seeking to walk uprightly before the Lord. He will shepherd the NCBC flock in accomplishing its mission to honor God as a family of growing disciples, both locally and globally. A Masters of Divinity or equivalent is required as well as five years of experience as an Executive Level or Senior Pastor in a growing church.
