Chapin Baptist Church is an active, loving community of believers poised with tremendous potential to reach its community and beyond with the life-changing message of the Gospel. CBC’s Sunday services are designed to glorify God through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word, engaging music, prayer and fellowship.
One of the strengths of Chapin Baptist Church is its loving, family-like culture and style of ministry that attracts people. CBC is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention, but is an independently governed church. Under the current leadership of a gifted interim Sr. Pastor, there is growing optimism and a renewed commitment among the members of the body to love God with their whole hearts, minds, souls and strength.
Chapin, popularly known as the capital of Lake Murray, is a small, affluent, lake town located in portions of Lexington and Richland counties. Chapin is approximately 24 miles west of Columbia, the capital of South Carolina where state government, the University of SC, a number of hospitals and numerous cultural venues are located. The mountains or the coast are an easy two-hour drive from Chapin. Chapin generally enjoys mild winters and long, warm summers.
