It’s critical that Summit Point’s Pastor of Outreach, Small Groups and Ministry Teams is in alignment with who Summit Point is and where they are headed.

Position Description *
The Pastor of Outreach, Small Groups & Ministry Teams is responsible for providing vision, leadership, development, and direction for any ministry staff, team leaders, and team members as it pertains to the mission, vision, values, and strategy of all environments specific to Summit Point Church.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 
-Embrace and implement the Mission, Vision, Values, Strategy, Key and Core Philosophy of Summit Point Church
-Responsible for casting and communicating vision and inspiring participation in the area of outreach, small groups, and ministry teams
-Shepherd, guide and lead ministry teams: outreach missions team, small group ministry, first impressions ministry, fellowship team, buildings & grounds team
-Responsible for designing and implementing strategies to effectively reach our community, assimilate people into small groups, and equip people to do the work of the ministry
-Responsible for the growth and participation of its ministries
-Develop a strategy to identify, recruit, train, lead, empower, and invest in ministry leaders
-Share in the teaching responsibility as it pertains to the membership class called “starting point”
-Assist the Lead Pastor in overseeing paid ministry staff and with pastoral duties (as needed) like: preaching, teaching, visiting, counseling, hospital care, weddings, funerals, etc.
