First Baptist Church is located in the heart of downtown Dallas, TX. Like many major cities, downtown Dallas is in the midst of an Arts and Entertainment revival. This urban setting is the perfect location for such an influential church.
The cornerstone of First Baptist Dallas was laid in 1890 by a small group of believers determined to begin a Baptist church in downtown Dallas. Under the leadership of legendary pastors and teachers like George W. Truett and W.A. Criswell, First Baptist Dallas became an anchor in the Christian community — a church known for a firm foundation built on the Bible.
Led by Dr. Robert Jeffress since 2007, they continue that legacy today. Dr. Jeffress ushered in a new season of ministry at the church that reinforces First Baptist’s calling to reach their city, nation, and world for Christ through four primary courses of action:
- Worship: They currently offer two choir and orchestra-led services, a contemporary worship service, and an online experience—iCampus.
- Equip: Members and visitors will find active, thriving Sunday School classes for every age and life stage. Their Discipleship University offers two semesters of classes on Sunday evenings.
- Serve: Their goal is to equip, empower, and deploy every member of their body to serve in the role and gifting to which the Lord has called them.
- Influence: They have stepped into the fray to be a voice for truth in a world hungry for answers.
The Marketing and Communications Director will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing all of FBD marketing strategies, marketing communications, both external and internal. This role is primarily responsible for partnering with the Minister of Communications & Broadcast in planning, coordinating, implementing and embracing ownership of a comprehensive Marketing and Communications Strategy. The ideal candidate will create and accomplish quarterly efforts to fix problems, add goals, and seize opportunities related to the Marketing and Communications ministry that is in alignment with the church’s goals. This is a position that is uniquely influential and will play a key role in developing branding initiatives, internal communications and external advertising relations in the community and abroad.
First Baptist Dallas is looking for a Marketing and Communications Leader who will analyze demographic and psychographic data while working collaboratively with other Communication Team Members to accomplish strategic initiatives. This individual will have had a strong track record of building processes and systems for all essential duties and be adept at managing production schedules from concept to delivery. Additionally, they will drive and manage the annual Communications advertising budget which adequately reflects the church’s strategic intentions and allocate resources among projects/campaigns, while staying within budgetary guidelines.
