Chestnut Ridge Church

Family Ministry Pastor
Chestnut Ridge Church

Morgantown, West Virginia
Church Description *
Chestnut Ridge Church officially launched in December of 1989. For the first few years, the church grew slowly but steadily, meeting in a rented facility. In 1998, Chestnut Ridge Church moved to its present location and immediately experienced explosive growth. Within two years, Chestnut Ridge Church had outgrown the new facility. In late 2006, a new facility five times the size of the previous building was dedicated. On the first day in the new facility, an additional 500 people began to attend, making Chestnut Ridge Church the first “mega-church” in the state of West Virginia.

Today, Chestnut Ridge Church has an average weekly attendance of 2000+ and continues to profoundly impact the community for Christ. The leadership of Chestnut Ridge says it this way, “We live in a post-Christian reality, and the Church in America has become increasingly irrelevant. Within our doors, we want to be an inviting church for everyone, regardless of where they are in their spiritual journey. We also want to be compelling to younger generations because they are the future. Outside our doors, we see it as our responsibility to build bridges to the people in our community.”
