The pace on the weekend is concentrated with 6 services between Saturday night and Sunday across two campuses, but the pace midweek is relaxed and focused on meeting the needs of the community. |Highlands Community Church is seeking a high-level, high-capacity leader who can work both independently and collaboratively as the Executive/Operations Director. The Executive/Operations Director is a member of the Lead Team, reporting to the Senior Pastor and is responsible for the effectiveness of the Ministry Operations team.
In addition, the Executive/Operations Director provides influence-leadership across a staff of 34 employees, including 9 pastors, in partnership with the Senior Pastor. Functionally, this position will serve as the COO and is designed for a C-level executive leader with proven ability to develop strong operational systems, ensure sound management of resources, leverage ministry opportunities and execute strategy toward greater effectiveness and efficiency.
Meeting the demands of growing congregation requires an Executive/Operations Director who is a sophisticated leader with a high standard of excellence; yet, can execute with a soft touch. The ideal candidate will have tremendous people skills, strong systems & operations experience (some marketplace experience), and be a leader and developer of leaders, able to duplicate his/her own leadership. Although previous vocational ministry experience is not required, it is preferred. Potential candidates will be mature followers of Jesus and must demonstrate wise and comprehensive understanding of leadership in a local church context.
