Creative Arts Pastor
Grace Community Church
|Church Description *|
|Grace Church of Orange County, New York is a non-denominational church of over 3,000 that is truly unique. It is only 60 miles northwest of one of the largest cities in North America. “We say often around here that we want people leaving not thinking what a great church, but What a great God and Savior,” says Senior Pastor Jarrod Jones.
Jarrod has been the lead pastor at Grace Church for about nine years. “I had been traveling as a youth event speaker and just fell in love with the northeast part of the U.S. My wife and I had always thought that if anything ever became available there that we’d love to pursue it. I hope this is the only church I ever pastor,” says Jarrod.
The church has four locations. “All of the locations thus far have wound up in permanent facilities,” says Executive Pastor Adrian Schoonmaker. “This has given each campus team a significant sense of ownership and empowerment.” The messaging is sharp, common, and clearly defined.
“Our staff is a group of people that champions excellence as we advance the vision,” says Adrian, “and we value truth and honesty amongst our teams.”

|The Worship Arts Department is ready for a next level Creative Arts Pastor who can help reproduce excellence at all the locations. While the Washingtonville campus hosts a little more than half of the weekly attendance, that pattern has been changing in recent months. “We are approaching a point where more people are at other locations than our Washingtonville site each week,” says Adrian. With that shift has come a renewed emphasis on the multi-site strategy as the future strategy of Grace. It’s vital that the Creative Arts Pastor needs to embrace this approach and have a strategy for helping the Worship Arts department thrive in a multi-site layout.
One piece that is different at Grace is that the original location does not dwarf the others. All the rooms are similar in size, scope, and tools for Worship Arts.
While the pieces and parts are present, the Creative Arts Pastor must be able to bring a new level of global leadership to the team. Training and strategies must be put in place to ensure that each campus (and future campuses) are set up for long-term, predictable success.
