Grace Assembly of God
Potential. That is the one word the best word to describe Grace Assembly. Grace is literally transforming through a metamorphosis of ministry paradigms. The potential for Kingdom impact and growth are tangible. The next Children’s Pastor will join Grace Assembly at an incredible juncture of this transformation and contribute to the shaping of the future of this community. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves and jumping in to rebuild a ministry that will affect the trajectory of Grace’s future, then this role might be perfect for you!
Grace Assembly of God is a passionate community of believers that are following the leading of the Holy Spirit to create a wave of kingdom impact in the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Grace Assembly has reimagined what church can be and has positioned themselves as one of the few modern expressions of church methodology. The church is well established with strong pastoral and lay leadership teams and after a major site remodeling in 2015, the beautiful campus and facility offers increased opportunities for ministry. The weekend experience at Grace Assembly is central, filled with impactful worship and strong Bible teaching.
This momentum continues with a variety of programs and activities for children, Jr. High and High School students, and multiple discipleship opportunities for adult through small groups. There are approximately 1,600 people who come through their doors to worship each week. Currently, Grace Assembly is experiencing a new season of growth fuel by a new 1,200-seat auditorium and the realization of a church-wide shift to the “Grow Strategy” influenced by Church of the Highlands.
Kids of Grace (KOG) is the dynamic Children’s Ministry of Grace Assembly and serves over 300 kids, age birth through 6th grade during both the Sunday morning services. For Kids, Grace believes in discipleship and values groups and building Christian community and relationships with a strong focus on parent involvement and support.
Following up Godly instruction with faithful equipping must be a priority. Within KoG, and several other areas of the ministry, there is a clear need for a strong developer to embody a vision for establishing and multiplying volunteerism. Those who currently serve in the children’s ministry are passionate, servant-hearted, and wise stewards of spiritual gifts and tangible resources. For the spiritual health of the team, and the care needed for kids and families, a team builder is needed to advance Grace Assembly’s mission more effectively.
With a large ministry scope and responsibility, the Children’s Pastor will need to have a “can-do” and “get it done” attitude that is driven and, at times, hands-on, but knows when to lead the team from the sideline as coach. With several young leaders on this team, he/she will need to lead by example and have the ability to cast a compelling vision.
