Next Gen Pastor
|Church Description *|
|Lead Pastor Darryn Scheske, and his wife, Loree moved to Indianapolis, Indiana with the dream of planting a church with a simple goal: To reach people who didn’t know Christ, to love them well, to lead them into a transforming relationship with Jesus, and launch them out to change their world.
The dream began with 17 people in the Scheske’s living room on February 4, 2001. Today, thousands of people attend Heartland Church’s weekend services and Heartland Groups in multiple locations in greater Indianapolis. Over 2,300 people have been baptized in water and nine new churches have been launched out of Heartland Church.
Darryn Scheske is the Founding Pastor of Heartland Church. The son of second-generation missionaries, Darryn inherited his love for people in the islands of the Caribbean where he was raised and it has given him the ability to connect with people from multiple cultures and generations. You will see this at Heartland, all backgrounds, races, and ages coming together.
Indianapolis is the capital and largest city of Indiana. Indianapolis is the 15th most populous in the U.S.
