Join a creative, diverse, and dynamic worship arts team. NorthRidge Church is seeking an Audio Director to lead the charge in audio in this next-level creative environment. A job at NorthRidge Church is exhilarating and exhausting at times but absolutely rewarding!
This non-denominational church of over 8,000 a weekend, spreading across four locations, is a true volunteer-driven church. Each area is led by a staff person, who then leads a volunteer team to do the work of the ministry. The mission of NorthRidge is to “Wake the world up to Jesus. Show them His love, Tell them His Truth and Involve them.” These sixteen words define everything about NorthRidge. Integral components to the fulfillment of this mission are weekend services, seasonal productions, and occasional church-wide events geared to speak to the lost and engage believers.
The Creative Arts Team is comprised of approximately 30 part and full-time dedicated team members, who resource NorthRidge’s campuses with music, worship, fine arts, and production. The worship style is progressive and engaging and even represents diversity, both on the stage and in the congregation. It can range from one worship leader with an acoustic guitar and keys to a full orchestra and choir with 15 worship singers. At least every six weeks or so, the team plans specials using the orchestra, string ensembles, rap, a Top 10-song, and more. They consistently try new and different genres in order to effectively impact people through cultural relevance.
The Production Team is composed of a half-dozen roles spread across audio, video, lighting, and scenic design. The Plymouth campus has a full complement of traditional and intelligent lighting fixtures, multiple cameras for IMAG, a spectacular LED backdrop, and Digico SD-7 consoles for audio at both FOH and for monitors.
The new Director of Audio will be responsible for the planning and execution of all audio in the main room and oversight of the Audio Assistant who handles most of the house-AV needs around the campus. They will also be tasked to maintain the audio quality at the other three campuses by training, overseeing, and inspecting the other systems with the regional Technical Director. Due to the creativity and changing of instrumentation, there is a need for a robust audio volunteer team.
Candidates for the Director of Audio position should:
- Have a high level of audio experience, and be experienced mixing a large room with diverse experiences, with cutting-edge gear
- Be a detail-oriented person, as he/she will be responsible for the planning and documentation of all main stage experiences
- Be a people person, teacher, team builder, and see his/her ministry through the eyes of his/her volunteers
