Associate Preaching Minister
Flower Mound, Texas
|Church Description *|
|BridgeWay is a non-denominational church planted in 2006 by Art and Holly McNeese. The McNeese’s felt called to plant a missional church–a church that would reach out to the unchurched and de-churched. After receiving training in church planting from Stadia, small groups were formed to communicate the vision and mission of the church. About 40 people began meeting in the Flower Mound Town Hall, followed by the first public worship service in a banquet facility. BridgeWay continued to meet at this location until March of 2010 when a move was made to the current address. In 2013, BridgeWay purchased seven acres of property and took possession of a small existing facility and expanded with a new worship center on the existing site. BirdgeWay has grown steadily in its 11-year existence to its current size of roughly 700 worshippers each Sunday.
The church is blessed with a gifted staff team and elder board. BridgeWay’s staff includes an Associate Minister, a Worship Minister, a Student Minister, a Children’s Minister, and an Administrative Assistant. Also, the church is served by other part-time ministers: a Student Ministry Assistant and a Facility Coordinator. The Associate Preaching Minister will step into an extremely healthy community of faith and will assume the role of Senior Minister within one yearof employment with the church.
BridgeWay’s vision is to be “a church without walls.” This means at least two things. First, that the church is not defined primarily by what happens on Sundays– the church is defined by what happens during the week, as members move into the community with the love of Christ. Second, it means BridgeWay seeks to eliminate “walls” that may be barriers to faith.
